Privacy Policy
Petriclaw · Last updated November 4, 2026
Petriclaw is a private, self-hosted personal assistant (see the home page). It's used only by its owner and the owner's household accounts. This policy explains how it handles data from Google accounts.
What data Petriclaw accesses
When the owner authorizes it through Google sign-in, Petriclaw can access the Google services the owner approves. These may include Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Tasks, Contacts and basic profile information (name and email address).
How the data is used
Data is used only to provide features the owner asks for. Examples include preparing a daily briefing from calendar events and recent email, creating calendar events and reminders, and reading or updating the owner's own files. Petriclaw doesn't use Google data for advertising, doesn't sell it, and doesn't use it to build profiles for anyone else.
Where the data goes
Petriclaw runs on the owner's own computer. Authorization tokens are stored there in encrypted form. Some content, such as event titles or message text, may be sent to an AI model provider the owner has chosen, only for the purpose of carrying out the owner's request. It isn't shared with anyone else, except where required by law.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Petriclaw's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Google data is kept only as long as needed to complete a request, or as part of the owner's own notes and records. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops Petriclaw from accessing the account.
